Because a successful Innisfail is YOUR business
What is the Innisfail Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Tourism?
The Innisfail District Chamber was officially formed in 1982, however the local business community has worked actively for the benefit of the district since the town's foundation in the late 1880's. Originally called Geraldton, the town's name was changed to Innisfail in 1910. Of Irish origins, the name translates as Innishfa'el.
At all times, the Chamber has aimed to unite with businesses investing in the future of our community. The pursuit of economic betterment is a forever goal for any business association as a healthy and flourishing community means jobs, growth and prosperity for all.
Due to COVID-19, regular activities of the Chamber were suspended. Following the 2021 AGM, it was resolved to undertake a review into the work of the Chamber so that we can evolve as an organisation that is effective in a modern digital world.
